Adalynn Muniz, Marisa Ramos and Cissy Ramos Killed, Kolbie Ramos and Keelie Ramos Injured in Winters Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 153

Winters, Texas (June 16, 2021) – Three people were killed, and three others were injured Sunday night in a head-on collision, six miles west of Winters, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 10:19 p.m., June 13, on State Highway 153.

DPS said Francisco Galvan Trevino, 51, of San Antonio, was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe eastbound on the highway when he tried to pass several vehicles and crashed head-on into a 2020 Ford Edge occupied by five people.

The force of the impact caused the Ford to catch fire.

Marisa B. Ramos, 20, Cissy L. Ramos, 46, and 7-year-old Adalynn R. Muniz, all from Plainview, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Kolbie Ramos, 9, and Keelie Ramos, 12, also from Plainview, were taken to Hendrick Medical Center with critical injuries.

Trevino was taken to Hendrick Medical Center with serious injuries. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

No other details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
