Adrian Dominguez Killed in East El Paso Three-Vehicle Crash on Gateway East and Giles

El Paso, Texas – The man who was killed Saturday evening in a three-vehicle crash in East El Paso has been identified as 42-year-old Adrian Dominguez, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened just after 6:45 p.m., February 17, in the 7700 block of Gateway East and Giles.

Police said Dominguez was driving a VW bug eastbound on the turn left only lane on Gateway East and had a red light while a 24-year-old man was driving his Dodge Charger southbound on Giles and had a green light.

The Charger t-boned the VW bug at the intersection pushing it towards an Expedition that was stopped at the red light.

Dominguez was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries where he later died.

Investigators said disregard for a red light was the main contributor to the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, bicycle, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
