AhMari Mouton Killed in Somerville Train Crash at Switchback Road and Highway 36

Somerville, Texas (November 20, 2021) – An 18-year-old Somerville High School student was killed on Friday in a train crash in Somerville, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 7:50 a.m., November 19, in the area of Switchback Road and Highway 36.

Police said AhMari Rai Mouton disregarded the traffic control arms at the train crossing, and a train struck her car.

Mouton was pronounced dead at the scene. 

No other information regarding the crash was provided.

An investigation is underway.
