Alberto Arriola Hospitalized after Robertson County Crash on Highway 79 near Farm-to-Market 1644

Robertson County, Texas (October 15, 2022) – 28-year-old Alberto Arriola of Bryan was injured after he was involved in a crash that claimed the lives of two people early Tuesday morning in Robertson County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at about 1:13 a.m. Tuesday, October 11, on Highway 79 near Farm-to-Market 1644.

23-year-old Trezanay Moore Dykes, of Killeen, was driving a 2017 Hyundai Sonata southbound on Highway 79 when he drove onto the wrong side of the roadway.

Dykes’s vehicle then collided head-on with a 2016 Peterbilt 18-wheeler that was heading northbound, being driven by Arriola.

Dykes and his passenger, 24-year-old Alize Lopez of Granger, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Arriola was taken to CHI St. Joseph Regional Health Hospital in unknown condition.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
