Alyssa McDowell Killed, Celeste Lopez and Paulo Mercado Injured in Odessa Two-Vehicle Crash on N. Grandview

Odessa, Texas (July 4, 2022) – One person was killed, and two others were injured Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Odessa, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 7:25 a.m., July 3, in the 6100 block of N. Grandview.

Police said a tan 2016 Honda Accord was traveling northbound when it failed to maintain lane and struck a black 2007 GMC Sierra.

The Honda driver, Alyssa McDowell, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in the Honda, Celeste Lopez, 19, and the GMC driver, Paulo Mercado, 24, were taken to Medical Center Hospital for treatment.

The police are investigating the crash.
