39-Year-Old Amber Sahagun Killed in Odessa Three-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 20

Odessa, Texas (March 21, 2020) – The person who was killed in a three-vehicle crash that left another person seriously injured Thursday afternoon in Odessa has been identified as Amber Sahagun, 39, of Decatur, Texas, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened just after 4:00 p.m. March 19, on Interstate 20 at Grant.

Police said a Dodge truck was stopped in the westbound lanes of the highway due to construction, and a Jaguar was traveling behind it.

The driver of an 18-wheeler failed to control their speed and rear-ended the Jaguar, pushing it into the back of the Dodge.

Sahagun, who was a passenger in Jaguar, was declared dead at the scene.

The driver of the Jaguar was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
