Amberly Gurka Injured in Rear-End Crash on Highway 6 in Navasota

Amberly Gurka Injured in Navasota Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 6  

Navasota, Texas (January 9, 2020) – A woman was injured Monday morning in a rear-end crash in Navasota, according to the police.

The crash occurred on Monday, January 6, on Texas State Highway 6 at the entrance ramp south of FM 3090.

Police said an 18-wheel tanker truck was heading southbound on Hwy 6 when the driver began experiencing mechanical problems and pulled over on the right side of the highway, partially in the entrance ramp south of FM 3090

Amberly Gurka of Navasota was driving a Ford Explorer southbound when she entered the Highway 6 entrance ramp and rear-ended the 18-wheeler.

Gurka was trapped in her car and had to be extricated. She was stabilized and taken to CHI St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
