Andrew Botello ID’d as Rider Killed in San Antonio Bicycle Crash on Highway 90 near 36th Street

San Antonio, Texas (August 9, 2019) – The bicyclist who was killed in a traffic collision on Wednesday night in San Antonio has been identified as Andrew Duate Botello, 36, according to the authorities.

The collision occurred at about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, on Highway 90 near 36th Street.

Police said Botello was riding a bike across the main lanes of the highway when a car struck him.

Botello died of injuries sustained in the crash.

The driver of the car remained at the scene of the crash.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
