Andrew Riojas ID’d as Man Killed in Corpus Christi Motorcycle Accident on Gollihar Road near Ayers Street 

Corpus Christi, Texas (September 17, 2019) – The man who was killed in DUI motorcycle accident early Saturday morning in Corpus Christi has been identified as Andrew Riojas,59, according to the Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The crash was reported around 2:04 a.m. September 14, on Gollihar Road near Ayers Street.

Police said a 31-year-old man was driving an SUV when he rear-ended Riojas who was riding a motorcycle. The motorcycle and the rider were dragged under the SUV.

The SUV then flipped over and crashed into a residence and a fence.

Riojas was pronounced dead at the scene.

The SUV driver was taken to the hospital where they underwent surgery. They are expected to face a count of intoxication manslaughter.

An investigation is underway.
