Anika Armer, Alison Taylor and Kirk Jackson Jr., Killed in Shreveport Motorcycle Crash on I-20 near Fairfield Avenue

Shreveport, Texas (August 8, 2021) – Three people were killed and five others were injured early Saturday morning in a traffic collision involving multiple motorcycles in Shreveport, according to the police.

The deadly crash happened around 2:00 a.m., August 7, on Interstate 20 near Fairfield Avenue.

Police said a truck was traveling westbound on the interstate when it lost a tire and the driver pulled off the highway.

The truck was then rear-ended by a car, causing the truck to cross two lanes of traffic and directly into the path of five motorcycles.

One of the motorcyclists crashed into the truck while three others wrecked.

Two of the motorcyclists were pronounced dead at the scene. Another motorcyclist was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

A passenger in the car was also pronounced dead at the scene. The car driver and another passenger were also taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The other two motorcyclists were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The deceased victims were identified as Anika S. Armer, 40, of Shreveport and Alison A. Taylor, 40, of Lancaster Texas, and Kirk Jackson Jr., 37, of Shreveport.

No other details were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
