Anna Rivera and Juan Gonzalez Killed, Ybarra Domingo, Gustavo, and Lorenzo Gonzalez Critically Injured in Donna Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 493
Donna, Texas (February 1, 2019) – Two people were killed, and three others were critically injured in December in a two-vehicle crash in Donna, according to the authorities.
The fatal crash happened at about 10:00 a.m. December 19, on FM 493 between Vertrees road and US-281 Military Highway.
Authorities said a Pontiac which was traveling southbound lost control for unknown reasons, swerved off the road and over-corrected into the other direction. It then crossed the center line and struck a northbound Honda van.
Anna Amanda Rivera, 26 and her 8-year-old son, Juan Miguel Gonzalez, were killed in the crash. Rivera’s other two children, Gustavo, 10, and Lorenzo Gonzalez,4, were taken to the hospital in critical condition. The Honda driver, 67-year-old Ybarra Domingo, was also hospitalized with critical injuries.
The authorities are investigating the crash.
