Anthony Mora Killed in Jim Wells County Motorcycle Accident on Business 281

Anthony Mora ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Jim Wells County Crash on Business 281

Jim Wells County, Texas (June 11, 2022) – Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who died in a crash with a vehicle Friday morning in Jim Wells County as Anthony Roy Mora, 39, of Falfurrias.

According to a report by the Texas Department of Transportation, the deadly crash happened at around 7:09 a.m. Friday, June 10, on Business 281 near mile post 676.

As per the report, a white Chevrolet Tahoe was heading northbound on Business 281 when its driver made a U-turn to travel southbound on Business 281 and collided with a northbound motorcycle driven by Mora.

Mora was thrown off the bike upon the impact.

Mora sustained significant injuries and was flown to Shoreline Hospital in Corpus Christi, where he was pronounced dead.

It remains unclear if the female driver of the Tahoe will face charges, authorities said.

DPS troopers are investigating the crash.
