Arlie Kelley Killed in Lubbock Two-Vehicle Crash on Slaton Highway

Lubbock, Texas (January 1, 2022) – One person was killed, and two others were injured Friday afternoon in a rollover crash in Lubbock, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 4:05 p.m., December 31, in the 3200 block of East Slaton Highway.

Police said Arlie Kelley, 92, was driving eastbound when he rear-ended a pickup truck.

The force of the impact caused Kelley to lose control, travel into a bar ditch, where his vehicle rolled over multiple times.

Kelley was pronounced dead at the scene.

The pickup truck driver and passenger were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
