Arturo Meza Dies in Pedestrian Crash at FM 715 and CR 120 in Midland County

Arturo Meza Killed in Midland County Pedestrian Accident at FM 715 and CR 120

Midland County, Texas (November 10, 2022) – The man who was critically injured Friday evening in a pedestrian accident in Midland County has died, according to the DPS.

65-year-old Arturo Meza, of Midland, died on Sunday, November 6.

The accident happened on November 4, at the intersection of FM 715 and CR 120.

DPS said Meza was crossing the roadway at the intersection when he was struck by a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Styvin Chei-Wei Ortiz.

Ortiz failed to yield the right of way.

Meza was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital in critical condition and was later taken to Covenant Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on November 6.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
