Asa Belton Killed in Lubbock Motorcycle Accident on 50th Street

Lubbock, Texas (July 3, 2021) – One person was killed Thursday night in a motorcycle crash in central Lubbock, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 8:02 p.m., July 1, in the 3800 block of 50th Street.

Police said Asa Belton, 28, was riding a motorcycle westbound in the middle lane when he crashed into an SUV that was attempting to turn westbound.

Belton was taken to University Medical Center, where he later died.

The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit is investigating the crash.
