Ashley Clark and Dustin George Killed in Freestone County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 84 near FM 2777

Freestone County, Texas (April 12, 2023) – Two people were killed Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Freestone County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 12:30 p.m., April 10, on Highway 84 W, near the intersection of FM 2777.

DPS said a Mitsubishi was traveling eastbound on the wrong side of the highway when it crashed into a Jeep.

Both vehicles caught fire after the collision.

The Mitsubishi driver, 38-year-old Ashley Clark of Streetman, and the passenger, 40-year-old Dustin George of Centerville, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The occupants of the Jeep were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
