At Least 1 Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on 610 South Loop in Houston

At Least One Injured in Houston Multi-Vehicle Crash on 610 South Loop near Highway 288 

Houston, Texas (March 19, 2021) – According to a local news source, at least one person was injured in a wrong-way crash Friday morning in Houston.

The crash happened just before 6:00 a.m., on 610 South Loop, west of the Highway 288 interchange over Almeda Road.

According to the report, a cargo van was traveling the wrong way when it collided with other vehicles. A total of four vehicles were involved in the collision.

Firefighters had to extricate victims from the wreckage.

At least one person was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The crash closed the eastbound lanes of the 610 south Loop at Highway 288 for about an hour.

The crash remains under investigation.
