At Least 1 Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 6 near Navasota River in Brazos County

1 Airlifted after Brazos County Big Rig Crash on Highway 6 near Navasota River

Brazos County, Texas (January 10, 2019) – At least one person was injured in a collision between a pickup truck and a semi-truck near the Navasota River in Brazos County Wednesday afternoon.
According to a report by the Navasota police, the incident took place on Highway 6 at about 1 p.m. January 9.
Police said a semi-truck that was stopped at the side of northbound Highway 6 attempted to merge back into the highway and entered into the path of a pickup truck that was pulling a trailer.
The pickup crashed into the big rig and burst into flames. The driver was able to get out of the pickup before fire consumed the vehicle.
Police said the pickup truck driver was airlifted to a hospital. The extent of the victim’s injuries was unknown.
The occupants of the semi-truck were unhurt.
No further details were released.
