At Least 1 Sustains Major Injuries in Austin Car Accident on Red River Street near East 15th Street

Austin, Texas (July 22, 2019) – At least one person was seriously injured Sunday night in a multi-vehicle crash at an intersection in Austin, authorities said.

The wreck, which was reported at about 7:22 p.m. Sunday, July 21, happened on Red River Street near East 15th Street.

According to the authorities, several vehicles collided at the Austin intersection for unknown reasons.

At least one person was treated at the scene by responding paramedics before being transported to a nearby hospital with major injuries.

The name and condition of the patient at this time were not immediately disclosed.

Cleaning and clearing operations were performed at the crash site.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
