At Least Four Injured in Crosby Crash on Beaumont Highway

Crosby, Texas (July 5, 2020) – At least four people were injured Sunday afternoon in a chain-reaction crash in Crosby, according to deputies.

The crash happened in the 1500 block of Beaumont Highway.

Deputies said a 58-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman were walking along the highway when they were struck by a vehicle, which then left the scene. The force of the impact caused the victims to fly into a ditch. They were able to walk back up to the highway to flag down cars for help.

A family, a woman, her husband, and their children, in a green Chevy pickup truck, spotted the victims and stopped to help. As they were parked, they were rear-ended by a Dodge Dart driven by a woman.

The force of the impact pushed the Dodge to enter the other side of the highway, where it was hit by another vehicle.

The pedestrians were airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital in unknown conditions.

At least two other people were taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The authorities are investigating the crash.

We hope the injured victims recover quickly.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
