Augustina Higuera Killed in Head-On Crash on U.S. 271 in Titus County

Augustina Higuera Killed in Titus County Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 271 near Talco

Titus County, Texas (June 14, 2020) – Two people were killed Friday night in a head-on collision in Titus County, about four miles north of Talco, authorities said.

The fatal crash happened at about 9:20 p.m. on June 12, on U.S. 271.

According to a preliminary investigation, Rosaellen Johnson, 82, of Dallas, was driving a 29013 GMC Sierra pickup southbound on the highway while Augustina Higuera, 33, of Paris, was driving a 2019 GMC Terrain northbound.

For unknown reasons, Johnson crossed over the center line and crashed head-on into the Terrain.

Johnson and Higuera were pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
