Aundrea Simms Killed in Limestone County Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 164

Limestone County, Texas (January 17, 2020) – One person was killed Thursday morning in a head-on collision in Limestone County, according to the DPS.

The crash happened at about 5:40 a.m. January 16, on State Highway 164 east of Groesbeck.

DPS said a Chevrolet pickup had been heading eastbound on the highway when it hit a cow. The Chevrolet became disabled in the middle of the roadway.

Aundrea Simms, 37, of Madisonville, was driving a Dodge SUV westbound when he swerved and crashed head-on into the Chevrolet.

Simms was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
