Police Officer Hurt in Austin Car Crash on Riverside Drive and Grove Boulevard

Austin, Texas (February 7, 2019) – An Austin Police Department officer was injured in a suspected DUI accident on Wednesday night in southeast Austin.
According to the authorities, the crash took place at about 9:30 p.m. February 6, on Riverside Drive and Grove Boulevard.
The authorities said an officer traveling northbound on Grove Boulevard was attempting to make a left turn on Riverside Drive and was struck by a pickup truck.
The officer sustained minor injuries .
The driver of the pickup truck was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
