Benjamin Garcia Killed in SW Austin Motorcycle Crash on Slaughter Lane

Austin, Texas (May 18, 2023) – A motorcyclist was killed Sunday evening in a crash in southwest Austin, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened just after 7:00 p.m., May 14, in the 500 block of E. Slaughter Lane.

Police said Benjamin Garcia, 39, was riding a motorcycle when he collided with an SUV.

Garcia was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

The SUV driver was uninjured in the crash.

The police are investigating the crash. Anyone with any information about the crash is asked to call APD’s vehicular Homicide unit at 512-974-8111 or submit a tip anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program.
