19-Year-Old Man Killed in Lampasas Bicycle Accident on FM 2527 near FM 580

Lampasas, Texas (May 21, 2019) – A teenage bicycle rider was fatally hit by a vehicle in Lampasas on Sunday afternoon, according to the DPS.
The crash took place at about 12:15 p.m. Sunday, May 19, on FM 2527, just north of FM 580.
According to the DPS report, a 19-year-old man was traveling along the side of southbound FM 2527 when he was hit from the back by a 2003 Chevrolet pickup truck.
The rider sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
