Bicyclist Injured After Being Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Belair Drive in San Antonio

Man Injured in San Antonio Bicycle Accident on Belair Drive near Lockhill Selma Road

San Antonio, Texas (June 24, 2022) – A male bicyclist was injured after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver late Thursday night in San Antonio, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

The crash happened shortly before 11:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23, in the 11300 block of Belair Drive, which is near Lockhill Selma Road and West Avenue on the city’s far North Side.

Police said a man, believed to be in his 30s, was riding his bicycle on Belair Drive when a black Toyota hit him.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and treated the man who sustained bumps, bruises and scratches as a result of the crash.

The driver of the vehicle did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the scene.

Police are searching for the hit-and-run driver. Authorities said if the driver is found, they will be charged with failure to stop and render aid.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
