Bicyclist Killed in Crash on US 59 in Cass County

Man Killed in Domino Bicycle Accident on US 59 near FM 3129

Domino, Texas (August 5, 2020) – A man was killed in a bicycle accident Tuesday afternoon in Cass County, according to DPS.

The deadly accident occurred around 2:47 p.m., August 4, on US 59 near FM 3129.

DPS said the man was riding a bicycle northbound on the highway while a 2020 Nissan Altima was also traveling northbound on the entrance ramp, merging onto US 59.

For unknown reasons, the bicyclist turned in front of the Altima, and he was hit by the car.

The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Altima driver was uninjured in the crash.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
