Bicyclist Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on East Interstate Highway in Houston

Man Killed in Houston Bicycle Accident on East Interstate Highway near East Freeway

Houston, Texas (November 21, 2022) – A bicyclist was killed in a Saturday night hit-and-run crash in east Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

The deadly crash happened at about 11:15 p.m. Saturday, November 19 on the East Interstate Highway near 12900 East Freeway.

Houston police said a man in his 50s was riding his bicycle westbound near 12900 East Freeway when he was struck from behind by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene.

The bicyclist, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are still searching for the hit-and-run crash.
