Bicyclist Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Glenn Drive in Blue Mound

One Seriously Injured in Blue Mound Hit-and-Run Bicycle Accident on Glenn Drive

Blue Mound, Texas (March 2, 2020) – A cyclist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident early Sunday morning in Blue Mound, according to the police.

The accident was reported around 1:00 a.m. March 1, in the 1700 block of Glenn Drive.

Police said they received a call about a bicyclist who had been hit by a car that had fled the scene. They responded and found the bicyclist with major injuries to his head and chest. The victim was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital for treatment.

The suspect was later located at a Fort Worth home and was arrested. They were charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and tampering with evidence.

A passenger in the car was also located and arrested. They were charged with failure to report a felony and tampering with evidence.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
