Man Killed in San Antonio Bicycle Accident at Cypress Street and Main Avenue
San Antonio, Texas (January 12, 2019) – A bicyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle early Friday morning in San Antonio, according to a local news source.
The tragic wreck took place at about 2:00 a.m. Friday, January 11 at the intersection of Cypress Street and Main Avenue.
Police said a man was riding his bicycle in front of two vehicles when for an unknown reason one of them rear-ended him.
The bicyclist was transported to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. His name has not been released pending identification and notification of his family.
The driver of the vehicle involved was assessed for DUI. No further details were immediately disclosed.
Police are investigating the accident.
