Bill Brewer Killed in 2-Vehicle Accident on Highway 75 in Madison County

Bill Brewer ID’d as Man Killed in Madison County Crash on Highway 75 near Madisonville
Madison County, Texas (April 4, 2019) – The man who was killed Friday night in a traffic accident in Madison County has been identified as Bill Brewer, 55, of Madisonville, according to authorities.
The deadly crash was reported just after 10:00 p.m. Friday, March 29 on Highway 75 approximately four miles north of Madisonville.
Authorities said Brewer was driving a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee when for an unknown reason his vehicle was rear-ended by a 2015 Nissan Altima driven by April Towery, 42, who was traveling at high rate of speed.
Brewer was ejected from the vehicle due to the impact force. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Heidi Ellis, 61, and Kendall Ellis, 8, were passengers in the Cherokee. Heidi was transported to CHI St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan with severe injuries while Kendall was treated at the crash site and released.
Towery was charged with intoxication manslaughter.
The crash remains under investigation.
