Billy Pierce Dead, Jordan Pierce Hurt in Head-On Crash on US-59 in Cass County

Billy Pierce Killed, Jordan Pierce Injured in Cass County Two-Vehicle Crash Crash on US-59
Cass County, Texas (February 20, 2019) – One person was killed, and another was injured on Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash on a Cass County highway, according to a local news source.
The fatal crash happened at an unspecified time on Tuesday, February 19, on US-59.
DPS said Jordan Pierce, 28 of White Hall, was driving southbound when he lost control of his car and entered the northbound lane where he collided head-on into a truck hauling a semi-trailer.
Pierce was taken to St. Michaels, Atlanta in stable condition. His passenger Billy Buck Pierce, 53, of Pine Bluff, Arizona, was taken St. Michaels Hospital Texarkana where he later died.
The truck driver, Dametrich Evans, 48, of Vivian, Louisiana, was uninjured in the crash.
Authorities said the road condition was wet at the time of the accident.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
