Billy Weaver Killed and Dbravian Black Injured in San Augustine County Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 103

San Augustine County, Texas (October 10, 2021) – One person was killed, and four others were injured Friday morning in a head-on collision in the Norwood Community, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened shortly after 10:00 a.m., on October 8, on State Highway 103.

DPS said Billy Weaver, 44, of San Augustine, was driving a 1995 Lincoln Town Car eastbound when he crossed the center line, for unknown reasons, and collided head-on with a westbound 2011 Ford pickup truck driven by Dbravian Black, 23, of Longview.

Weaver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Black and three passengers in the truck were taken to a Lufkin hospital for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
