Bodies of Antonio Robles and Raymond Herrera Found Weeks after Galveston Boat-Tanker Crash

Galveston, Texas (February 1, 2020) – The bodies of the two men who went missing after a boating accident three weeks ago near Galveston have been found, according to officials.

The bodies of Antonio Robles, 44, of Pharr, and Raymond Herrera, 57, of Texas City, were found on Thursday afternoon in the fishing boat’s capsized hull.

The crash happened on January 14.

Officials said the collision involved the 81-foot fishing boat Pappy’s Pride and a chemical tanker.

The body of Pappy’s Pride crew member Constantino Corona, 59, of Palacios, was recovered shortly after the crash.

Another crew member was rescued from the water and was taken to the hospital with a broken leg.

The search for Robles and Herrera was suspended two days after the crash because of bad weather and debris around the crash had delayed the raising of the fishing boat to allow a search of the wreck.

The crash remains under investigation.
