Border Patrol Agent, Driver Injured in Four-Vehicle Crash on Texas 359 in Laredo

U.S. Border Patrol Agent and Civilian Injured in Laredo Car Crash on Texas 359 near Pueblo Nuevo
Laredo, Texas (February 18, 2019) – An on-duty U.S. Border Patrol agent and a civilian were hospitalized Friday afternoon after a multi-vehicle crash near Laredo, according to a local news source.
The crash was reported at around 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 15 on Texas 359 near Pueblo Nuevo, approximately 8 miles out of Laredo.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the driver of a Chevrolet Suburban failed to control speed and crashed into the rear of a marked Chevy Tahoe that had stopped due to a one-way traffic control work zone in the area.
The force of the impact caused the Border Patrol unit to struck Nissan Altima, which then hit a fourth vehicle.
Paramedics responded to the scene and took the agent and the Suburban driver to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
Authorities are investigating the accident.
