One Killed in Abilene Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 20
Abilene, Texas (February 3, 2019) – A Border Patrol Agent was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday night just west of Abilene, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The deadly accident happened at about 8:15 p.m. February 2, on the south service road of Interstate 20 near mile marker 276, between Tye and Merkel.
Troopers said the agent was working when a westbound vehicle struck them. The victim’s identity has not been disclosed.
The crash remains under investigation.
