Brett Mohler Killed in San Angelo Crash on U.S. Highway 67
San Angelo, Texas (December 18, 2020) – A man was killed Monday evening in a traffic collision involving a tractor, 10 miles north of San Angelo, according to the DPS.
The fatal crash happened around 5:55 p.m., December 14, on U.S. Highway 67.
According to a preliminary investigation, a 2014 Dodge Ram pickup was traveling southbound in the outside lane of the highway when the driver failed to control his speed and rear-ended a John Deere tractor towing a folding grain drill.
The pickup driver, a 38-year-old San Angelo man, was taken to Shannon Medical Center with incapacitating injuries.
Brett Mohler, 37, who was a passenger in the pickup, was killed in the crash.
The tractor driver, a 56-year-old Miles man, was taken to Shannon Medical Center with non-incapacitating injuries.
Both occupants of the pickup were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
