Caitlyn Reyna Killed, Lanndon Smith Seriously Injured in Victoria Two-Vehicle Crash on Moody Street

Victoria, Texas (January 21, 2023) – One person was killed, and another was injured Thursday afternoon in a head-on collision in Victoria, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 4:20 a.m., January 19, in the 1900 block of S.W. Moody Street.

Police said 21-year-old Caitlyn Reyna was driving a Toyota Corolla southbound on the street when she crossed over into northbound traffic and crashed head-on into a blue Mercury Grand Marquis driven by 38-year-old Lanndon Smith.

Both drivers were taken to DeTar Hospital and were then airlifted to Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) in San Antonio, where Reyna later succumbed to her injuries. Smith remains in critical condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
