Carlos Alfonso Martinez ID’d as Pedestrian Killed in El Paso Crash Accident on Yarbrough

El Paso, Texas (July 8, 2019) – The man who was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday night in El Paso has been identified as Carlos Alfonso Martinez, 58, according to police.

The deadly pedestrian accident happened at around 9:08 p.m. Saturday, July 6 in the 900 block of Yarbrough.

Police said Martinez was attempting to cross on Yarbrough outside a designated crosswalk when he was hit by a southbound 2008 Kia Optima.

Martinez was transported to Del Sol Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities are still investigating the crash.
