Carmel Azzopardi and Paula Azzopardi Killed in Roberts County Plane Crash near Quarter Horse Road and Waterfield Lake
Roberts County, Texas (February 16, 2019) – Two people were killed Friday morning in a plane crash in Roberts County, just west of the Hemphill County Line, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal crash occurred at about 10:00 a.m. February 15, east of Quarter Horse Road and west of Waterfield Lake.
DPS said a Cessna C421 crashed for reasons still under investigation.
The pilot, Carmel Azzopardi, 75, and the passenger, Paula Azzopardi, 49, both of Amarillo, were killed in the crash.
No further details were provided.
The FAA is investigating the crash.
