Casey Dylan Rachal Killed in Callahan County Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 20

Callahan County, Texas (August 31, 2019) – A man was killed Thursday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Callahan County, a local news source reported.

The fatal crash happened at about 7:33 p.m. August 29, on Interstate 20.

DPS said Casey Dylan Rachal, 22, of Natchitoches, Louisiana, was driving a 1993 Chevrolet pickup eastbound when a Freightliner towing a trailer slowed down and merged left as the right lane closed.

Rachal was unable to control the speed of his vehicle and rear-ended the trailer of the Freightliner.

Rachal was declared dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seat belt.

The Freightliner driver, Marcus Clyde Humphrey, 62, of Peoria, Arizona, was uninjured in the crash. He was wearing a seat belt.

The crash remains under investigation.
