Catherine Hoyl ID’d as Woman Killed in Oldham County Car Crash on I-40
Oldham County, Texas (April 19, 2019) – The woman who was killed Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Oldham County has been identified as Catherine Hoyl, 69, of Vega, according to the DPS.
The fatal crash happened at about 5:15 p.m. April 17, on I-40.
DPS said Hoyl was driving westbound when her vehicle hydroplaned, drove through the median and struck the side of a semi-truck.
Hoyl was pronounced dead at the scene.
The semi-truck driver was uninjured in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
