Charles Bowden Killed in Midland County Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 158 near SCR 1140

Midland County, Texas (September 16, 2022) – A Midland man was killed Thursday morning in a rear-end collision in Midland County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 6:30 a.m., September 15, on State Highway 158 near South County Road 1140.

DPS said Charles Bowden, 41, was traveling westbound on the highway behind a Freightliner towing a trailer.

The Freightliner slowed down to turn onto South County Road 1140 and was rear-ended by Bowden.

Bowden was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Freightliner was uninjured in the crash.

No other information was available.

The crash remains under investigation.
