Charlie Jackson Killed in Austin Car Crash on Interstate 35

Austin, Texas (July 20, 2021) – Two men were killed on Saturday, July 10, in a hit-and-run crash in east Austin, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 4:21 a.m., in the 5200 block of North Interstate 35 frontage road.

Police said a white 2021 Toyota Camry was struck by another vehicle, causing the Camry driver to lose control and veer off the roadway.

There were three people in the Camry, and two of them, Charlie Jackson, 38, of Austin and David Bearden, 20, of Austin, were ejected and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The third passenger was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the other vehicle fled the scene after the accident.
