Child Killed in Pharr Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on West Albatross Avenue
Pharr, Texas (March 16, 2019) – A child was killed Friday afternoon in a hit-and-run accident in Pharr, according to the police.
The deadly accident took place at about 1:15 p.m. March 15, in the 500 Block of West Albatross Avenue near Albatross Avenue.
Police said the driver of a blue passenger vehicle, got out of the vehicle and a disturbance occurred. During the argument, a passenger inside the vehicle got into the driver’s seat and drove off. As the car was fleeing the scene, it hit a child who was near the vehicle.
The driver didn’t stop and fled the scene after hitting the child.
The child was taken to a local hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries.
The suspect was later located and arrested.
The police are investigating the crash.
