Child Injured in San Angelo Crash at Caddo Street and Van Buren Street

San Angelo, Texas (January 16, 2023) – A child was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash on Monday at an intersection in San Angelo, according to authorities.

The wreck occurred at the intersection of Caddo Street and Van Buren Street.

Authorities said a Chevy Equinox was traveling eastbound southbound on Van Buren Street when the driver allegedly ran a red light at the intersection and collided with a Nissan Rouge that was traveling eastbound on Caddo Street.

The Nissan had three occupants, including a child in the backseat. The child was transported to a hospital for a checkup but was not reported to have any serious injuries. There were two occupants in the Chevy Equinox, neither reported serious injuries.

The Chevy Equinox driver was cited for failing to regard a red light.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
