Midland, Texas (May 9, 2020) – A child was injured Friday afternoon in a hit-and-run bicycle accident in Midland, according to officials.

The accident happened on May 8, on College Avenue.

Officials the child was riding a bike along the roadway when they were hit by a red truck.

The driver of the truck fled the scene after the accident.

The child was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital in stable condition.
