Child Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident on Galesburg Street in Houston

7-Year-Old Injured in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Galesburg Street

Houston, Texas (April 20, 2020) – A 7-year-old child was injured last week Monday evening in a hit-and-run accident in far southeast Houston, according to police.

The accident occurred just after 5:30 p.m. on April 13, in the 4600 block of Galesburg Street.

Police said a woman was driving when she hit the child and then fled the scene and ran a stop sign.

The child was taken to the hospital with multiple broken bones and head trauma.

The woman was described as an Asian female, about 25 to 35 years old. The authorities are looking for her. She is wanted for felony failure to stop and render aid.

The police are investigating the accident. Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call the HPD Hit and Run Unit at 713-247-4072 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
