Christian Tucker, Kristyn Smith Injured in Car Crash on US 84 in Slaton

Christian Tucker and Kristyn Smith Seriously Injured in Slaton Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 84 near CR 2950

Slaton, Texas (April 27, 2021) – Two people were killed, and two others were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on Saturday in Slaton, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash occurred just before midnight on April 24, on Highway 84, near County Road 2950.

DPS said Willie Shawn Lang, 52, of Lubbock, was driving a Chevy Suburban when it collided with an eastbound Ford expedition driven by Christian Monroe Tucker, 25, of Brownfield.

Lang and his passenger, Temera Lasha Sapp, 37, of Lubbock, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Tucker and his passenger, Kristyn Mae Smith, 24, of Lubbock, were taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries.

No other details were provided.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
