Christopher Hinson Killed in Polk County Two-Vehicle Crash on US 190

Polk County, Texas (December 9, 2020) – Two people were killed in a head-on collision Tuesday morning in Polk County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 6:50 a.m., December 8, on US 190.

According to a preliminary investigation, an SUV was traveling eastbound on the highway while a car was traveling westbound.

The car attempted to pass another vehicle in a no-passing zone and crashed head-on into the SUV.

The SUV driver, Michael Tobin, 55, of Onalaska, and the car driver, Christopher Hinson, 37, of Livingston, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
